41 - Falun Dafa Waist Drum Team & Lotus Flower Dance Team

We are very happy to join in St Patrick's Parade and share the joy with your Towns audiences .

Falun Dafa is a traditional cultivation practice that improves mental and physical wellness, through a series of easy-to-learn exercises and meditation (gentle and slow moving). The cultivation practice is guided by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.  People can achieve physical health, mental balance, and inner peace. ÂÂ
      ÂÂ
Waist drum is used for traditional celebration, it comes from western and central plain areas of China. It has nearly 1,000 years of history.

Lotus Flower Dance Team is showing people simple movement just like beautiful lotus fairy.

It is an old and significant symbol in Buddhism. The meaning of the lotus flower comes from the way the flower grows in nature, It starts off as a bud murky ponds until it emerges from the muddy waters in a beautiful blooming flower but did not have a dirty on itself, it expresses inner and out pure and nice. Its emerges from murky waters perfectly clean and beautiful, so it is also a symbol for the purity. The other meaning of the lotus flower is holding such power because it can offer hope and strength to people struggling in their daily lives. It also a symbol that shows that no matter where you start off in life and no matter what you're going through, you have the ability to rise above, overcome all negativity and find bliss as you emerge from your struggles.

All the Dancers are all practitioners of Falun Dafa.

44 - Trenton AOH Pipe Band

The band, formed in 2006, in its current configuration is dedicated to continuing the tradition of performing Celtic music on the Highland Bagpipe to the best of our abilities. To that end we meet each week to practice known tunes and to work on new ones.
The pipe band drum corps is responsible for both supporting the piping with a solid rhythmic foundation and sense of pulse.
Colin Duffy has been our Pipe Major for over 10 years. We have increased our repertoire and improved on our sound under Colin’s direction. The band has also brought in an instructor for both pipes and drums to work with how we perform/look on the street. We take our piping seriously….But we also know how to have fun.
